If you like goats, bunnies, ducks and ponies, come to Edina's sixth annual Barnyard Boogie this Saturday.

For an hour and a half on Saturday morning, adorable animals will meet equally adorable kids and toddlers. Presented by the Edina Park and Recreation Department, this petting zoo event offers the youngest Edinans an opportunity to get up close and personal with some barnyard favorites.

“Barnyard Boogie gives our Edina residents—both children and adults—a chance to see a part of life that may be very foreign to them: farm life,” said recreation program specialist Dawn Beitel in a statement. “By interacting with the animals, riding on a pony, climbing on a pile of straw or creating a handmade craft, families will experience the simple pleasures that a farm can provide.”

In addition to the petting zoo, a kid-friendly DJ and a craft table will be on-site.

The event runs 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Rosland Park and is designed for children age 7 and under, with parental supervision. The cost is $5 per child, with kids under 2 getting in free.
