New Gophers Basketball Coach Buys $1 Million Edina Home

Richard Pitino bought a 4,920 square foot home in northwest Edina in mid-July.

New Gophers basketball coach Richard Pitino bought a home in northwest Edina earlier this summer.

Pitino, who left Florida International for the U of M in the spring, spent $999,000 on the 4,920 square foot home, Twin Cities Starlight reports.

The home won't break the bank for the 30-year-old Pitino. The basketball coach is expected to pull in $1.2 million his first year.

The 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home was built in 2001 and comes equipped with a three-car garage and a sun room, according to realty records.
