The Edina Police Department is seeking help from members of the public who might know information about an attempted theft from a local ATM.

At about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, an unidentified man attempted to break into an ATM inside of a bank near the intersection of 69th Street and France Avenue. Edina Police did not disclose the name of the bank, though there are three banks—Think Mutual Bank, Bremer Bank and M&I Bank—located at that particular intersection.

The white male, pictured in surveillance photos above, was wearing sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and had a backpack on backward at the time of the attempted theft. He appears to have been traveling by bicycle, judging by photos.

Anyone with information on the incident or suspect is asked to contact Detective Erik Amundson at 952-826-0471 or eamundson@EdinaMN.gov.
