Superintendent Ric Dressen Named Rotarian of the Year

The Morningside chapter of the service organization gave the Edina superintendent it's annual honor.

Edina Public Schools Superintendent Ric Dressen has been named Rotarian of the Year by the Morningside chapter of the service organization.

“It was a real honor to be recognized by the club and to be part of the club,” Dressen said. “I try to live that every day, whether I’m doing Rotary or just giving back by being part of the community.”

Dressen said much of his work at the Rotary is interrelated to his work with the Rotary.

“We’re trying to look at how we as the community can meet the needs of our young people so there’s no limitation on transportation, or finding funding or whatever students need to help them be successful,” he said. “A lot of my efforts are about bringing people together, which is what Rotary does.”
