Nine candidates ran for the four open seats on the Edina School Board.

Goldstein said he was "humbled and honored" to have Edina residents' support.

"I generally care greatly about the schools," he said. "I ran for the board to support public schools and teachers and to address the needs of children and their families."

Regina Neville, won re-election to her second term, winning 16 percent of the vote. She said she would continue to work on closing the achievement gap and on the district's Birth-Grade 5 curriculum study

"It was a strong group of nine people who had a genuine interest in the best thing for kids in Edina Public Schools," Neville said, "and I know there will be a good place for all of them to get involved in the district."
