50th and France Lunds Considers Moving Across the Street
Lund Foods is in talks with U.S. Bank about buying an office building kitty-corner to the current site of its grocery store.
The 50th and France Edina Lunds is thinking about relocating across the street to a site currently occupied by U.S. Bank.
Lund Food, the parent company of Lunds and Byerly's, is in talks with U.S. Bank to purchase its two-story office building at 4100 W. 50th St., according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. The building is currently used as a bank branch, with offices leased by Lund for its corporate headquarters.
A Lund Foods spokesperson confirmed with the paper that it is "exploring potential redevelopment options" and a U.S. Bank spokesperson said they're "exploring redevelopment options for its branch and property at 50th and France."
Lund owns five buildings in the 50th and France region, including its recent $1.1 million purchase of the post office building, according to the business journal.
