Drama Ensues at 50th & France

Business partners Courtney Smallbeck and Brynn Idelkope own Drama, a boutique offering interesting, affordable pieces that take ordinary outfits to the next level.

Just when you think you’ve had enough drama for the day, a boutique by the same name moves in and makes you want more. Drama, a clothing boutique for women, recently relocated from Uptown to downtown Edina. France Avenue is a fabulous fit for the dainty duo that co-owns the store. Co-owner Courtney Smallbeck is thrilled by the fabulous fashionista foot traffic the store is experiencing already. "There's a wonderful energy at 50th & France," Smallbeck said. "So many beautiful boutiques, and we’re happy they’re now our neighbors." "Uptown is more about drinks and dinner and maybe that cute dress in the window," business partner Brynn Idelkope elaborated. Pandolfi Dishing Up Vibrant Gelatos, Decadent Candy at 50th & France

Tucked into the southside of 50th Street the shop offers local fudge, retro candies and Palazzolo's thick, dense gelato.

"I always wanted to have my own little retail business and my ideas have always been food-focused," said Riha, who opened Pandolfi just a few weeks ago in at 50th & France. Featuring Palazzalo's artisan gelato from Chicago—an Oprah fave—the cozy, yet radiant store also offers candy, fudge, games, toys, funky purses and more. Several years ago Riha made plans with her mother to create an Italian grocery store, but her mom passed away before that could happen. In the intervening years, her daughters got older and she ran her own catering business.
