Edina Painter Featured in Sabes Jewish Community Center Exhibition
The Sabes JCC held a reception for 17 local Jewish artists, including Susan Weinberg of Edina, on Thursday evening.
Edina painter Susan Weinberg was at the Sabes JCC's Tychman Shapiro Gallery Thursday evening as one of the guests of honor in a reception for participants in the Jewish Artists Laboratory.
The program, funded by a grant from the Covenant Foundation, has allowed 17 local Jewish artists to meet twice monthly for the last eight months to talk about the intersection of Judaism and art.
A culminating event, featuring literary presentations, will be held on Sept. 22.
Edina Patch spoke with Weinberg about her work and her participation in the program.
