Edina Cub Scouts Collect Clothes, Raise Money for Domestic Violence Center

It was the largest single donation to the Harriet Tubman Center in its 40-year history.

Fourth- and fifth-grade Edina Cub Scouts collected more than 225 coats, gloves, mittens and other winter garments for a local domestic violence center.

The Weblos of Edina Cub Scout Pack 123 also donated $347 in cash to the Minneapolis-based Harriet Tubman Center.

"This was the largest single donation we have received in our 40-year history,” said Danika Trosen, a Tubman communications staffer.
