$5.00

The Edina, MN-based Braemar City of Lakes Figure Skating Club will host its 5th annual Holiday Pops Skating Exhibition and VEAP Benefit from 4:30-6:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Braemar Ice Arena. Skaters will perform solo, pair, trio, and ensemble numbers. Team Braemar's Junior and Intermediate synchronized skating teams will also perform. Team Braemar Junior is the reigning National Champions and World pewter medalists.

"This will be a great way to celebrate the holiday season and a fabulous winter sport that can be enjoyed year-round," said Sharon Friedli-Welter, event co-chair. "Better yet, we will be raising money and providing food to families in need during the cold winter months."

Participants and spectators alike are encouraged to bring canned/dry goods and make a $5 financial contribution to Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), which is a local non-profit agency serving low-income families, individuals, elderly, and disabled persons in the communities of Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and South Minneapolis, MN. VEAP provides food pantry, social assistance, and transportation services. The event
has raised approximately $6,300 over the past four years.

Braemar Ice Arena is located at 7501 Ikola Way in Edina, Minnesota.
