State Sen. Melisa Franzen (DFL-Edina) has had a busy few days over at the Capitol, including seeing her first two bills make it to the Senate floor.

Franzen provides regular video updates to constituents via her YouTube channel and, in the latest, said she's excited to see her first two bills moving to Governor Dayton's desk and—hopefully—becoming Minnesota law.

Franzen said it's also been jam-packed in her committee meetings, with the deadline for bills coming up and numerous hours of testimony as a result.

Check out the fill video update above and see more videos from Sen. Franzen on her official YouTube channel.

Ms. Franzen seems to exude a great deal of fake "excitement."

Keith Downey would have been a much more effective state senator, and represented the middle-America beliefs most Edinans support.

It is a shame that we don't have a Tom Emmer-Keith Downey governnor-state senator team, instead of the left-wing agenda of the Democrat Party in this state.

Franzen bought her so-called victory by flooding Edinans mailboxes this past fall with tons of junk mail.

And now her video so-called updates are filled with similar Democrat Party propaganda.

What a disgrace. Why would anyone (in their right mind) vote for this tax & spend liberal nut? Keep your greedy fingers out of our pocketbooks! WE are paying enough taxes already.
Good call Mike B..

Easy does it, Mikes. She was elected, fair and square. What's the matter with a little enthusiasm?

Mike (either one will do) you are clearly wrong about Downey. Edina did not vote for him.

Edith, that's the problem. Edina has clearly changed... for the worse. In the past, there would have been no way a liberal, anti-business, pro-tax and spend, Democrat Party hack- Franzen- would have been elected over a far,far superior candidate such as Keith Downey.

So you are saying that the majority just isn't as wise as it used to be--or as wise as you are, anyway. Hmmmm. You are very confident.
