Snowshoes Swiped from Edina's Utley Park

A Brooklyn Park woman was also arrested for attempting to steal $515 in clothing from Macy's at Southdale Center.

Friday, Jan. 4

  • Police responded to the 7500 block of York Avenue on a report of property damage. The windows of a vehicle were damaged by an unknown person. The total damage was estimated at $450.
  • Police responded to the 7500 block of York Avenue on a report of property damage. The window of a vehicle was damaged by an unknown person. The damage was estimated at $100.
  • Mary Kay Brennan, 54, of St. Paul, was arrested for theft after attempting to steal $262.98 in clothing from Herberger's at Southdale Center.
  • Trina Antoinette Berry, 43, of Brooklyn Park, was arrested for theft after attempting to steal $515 in clothing from Macy's at Southdale Center.

Saturday, Jan. 5

  • Gerrad Keith Petersen, 30, of Edina, was arrested for no insurance after a traffic stop in the 7200 block of France Avenue.
  • Kristin Safrena Apple, 31, of St. Louis Park, was arrested for 2nd degree DWI after a traffic stop near Hwy. 100 and Benton Avenue.

Sunday, Jan. 6

  • Police responded to Utley Park on a report of theft. An unknown suspect—or multiple suspects—reportedly stole snowshoes valued at $200 from the park.
  • Police responded to the 7400 block of France Avenue on a report of a found wallet.
  • Police responded to LA Fitness on a report of theft. An unknown suspect reportedly stole a purse valued at $355 from a locked locker in the women's locker room of the workout facility.
