Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will be taking part in his second montly "Walk with the Mayor" this Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Galleria.

The program is designed to both encourage residents to be healthy and to allow them one-on-one time with the mayor.

Hovland and interested walkers will gather inside of the Galleria at 9 a.m. Saturday. The walk is planned to span approximately two miles.

"Through 'Walk With the Mayor,' I can get to know residents and be active at the same time," Hovland said. "We'll walk a different route each month to see different parts of our community. Some walks will be indoors, some outdoors during warmer months."
