Runners made their way through the rain in support of colon cancer research in the seventh-annual "Get Your Rear In Gear" run at Southdale Center.

The morning began with a children's "fun run" before the main five-kilometer run/walk saw hundreds of participants taking part.

Numerous Minnesota politicians were on hand, including Senator Amy Klobuchar, former Governor Arne Carlson, former Congressman Jim Ramstad and Edina Mayor James Hovland.
