The Blake Bears' Class 1A state title win Saturday had special significance for a number of Edina families, as six players on the team call Edina home.
That list includes:
- Lilia Everson, #4, a sophomore
- Maddy Hall, #10, a senior
- Sylvie Wallin, #13, a freshman
- Carolyn Patterson, #16, a junior
- Kate Fraley, #19, a senior
- Davis Zosel, #30, a junior
The Bears defeated Warroad 7-2 in the championship game Saturday afternoon.
Everson and Fraley both scored goals in the title game.
